The project involved replacing three separate burners on three industrial steam generators, two with a capacity of 5 t/h and one with a capacity of 10 t/h.
The saving of natural gas obtained thanks to the intervention is due to the high technological content of the implemented solution which, thanks to the regulation of combustion by means of an O2 probe and to the regulation of the blower by means of a VSD, also allows a considerable saving of electrical energy.
Results obtained:
- Thermal energy saving: 935.000 kWh/year
- Primary energy saving: 96 Toe/year
- Saving of natural gas: 115.000 scm/year
- CO2 not released into the atmosphere: 224 tons/year
- Payback intervention: about 36 months
The system has been equipped with a monitoring system able to measure and historicize the post-intervention consumption. This is essential for taking stock of and verifying the energy savings achieved.
