The object of the efficiency intervention was the suction plant for the dust produced by the production and packaging lines of handkerchiefs and paper for hygienic use in the factory. The work carried out today allows control by inverter of all the fans in service at the plant. Thanks to the new configuration it is now possible to control the rotation speed of each fan according to the real needs of the process, determining a lower power consumption and consequently a considerable energy saving.
Results obtained:
- Energy saving: 1.650.000 kWh/year
- Primary energy savings: 308 Toe/year
- CO2 not released into the atmosphere: 1.115 tons/year
- Payback intervention: about 10 months
The system has been equipped with a monitoring system able to measure and historicize the post-intervention consumption. This is essential for taking stock of and verifying the energy savings achieved.
